History of Ndokwa East 

Ndokwa East Local Government Area is located in Delta State, Nigeria. It was created in 1991 by the military government of General Ibrahim Babangida, during a nationwide local government reform. The area covers a landmass of about 1,144 square kilometers and is bordered by Aniocha North Local Government Area to the north, Aniocha South Local Government Area to the west, Isoko North Local Government Area to the south, and Edo State to the east.

The history of Ndokwa East dates back to the pre-colonial era when it was inhabited by the Ndokwa people. The Ndokwa people are a subgroup of the Igbo ethnic group in Nigeria, and they have a distinct culture and language.

Geography of Ndokwa East 

Ndokwa East Local Government Area is located in the southern part of Nigeria, in Delta State. It covers a landmass of about 1,144 square kilometers and is situated in the northern part of the state.

The area is predominantly rural, with the major urban centers being Kwale, the administrative headquarters, and Ashaka, a major town in the area. It is bordered by Aniocha North Local Government Area to the north, Aniocha South Local Government Area to the west, Isoko North Local Government Area to the south, and Edo State to the east.

Ndokwa East is located in the Niger Delta region, which is known for its rich biodiversity and natural resources. The area is characterized by a tropical climate, with high temperatures and humidity throughout the year. It has two distinct seasons: a dry season, which runs from November to March, and a wet season, which runs from April to October.

Economy of Ndokwa East 

The economy of Ndokwa East Local Government Area is predominantly agrarian, with the majority of the population engaged in farming, fishing, and small-scale trading. The area is known for its production of crops such as yam, cassava, maize, rice, and vegetables, which are sold in local markets and transported to other parts of the state and the country.

In addition to agriculture, Ndokwa East is also rich in natural resources such as crude oil and gas, which are extracted and processed by multinational oil companies operating in the area.
