Idemili's south local government area is situated in Anambra state, the Southeast of Nigeria, and has its headquarters located in the town of Ojoto. Idemili south local government shares boundaries with Anaocha, Idemili North, Ekwusigo, Nnewi North, and Ogbaru local government areas. The villages and towns that make up Idemili's south local government include Alor, Umunachi, Nnobi, Oba, Umudioka, Akwaukwu, Nnokwa, and Awka-entity.
