The song is a local government area that is situated in Adamawa State, with the area council consisting of districts like Song, Waje, Suktu, Zumo, Dumme, Mboi, Kilange, Hirna, Gari, Dirma, Kilange, Funa, Gudu, Waltandi and Ditera
Song's local government area is located in the state of Adamawa, the northeast geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the local government areas are in the town of Song with the area constituted of several villages and towns and which include Zumo, Gben, Ditera, Mbilla, Loko, Mboi, Song, Waltadi, and Chukkol. The current population of Song local government area is populated with inhabitants with the area primarily occupied by the members of the Bata ethnic groups. The language that is commonly spoken in Song local government is called Bata language while the religions that are widely practiced in the local government are Christianity and Islam. A number of colorful festivals that are held in the local government of Song include the popular Dance festival Yungur.
