Mayo Belwa local government area is situated in Adamawa state, which is the northeast geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The local government area is a part of the Adamawa Emirate and it is made up of several villages and towns such as Ubaka, Binyeri, Mayo Lamja, Bajama, Bunyayi, Gorobi, Wakka, and Mayo Farang. Mayo Belwa's local government area is not too popularly known like other local governments in Adamawa state. The language called Teme language is what is widely spoken in the local government while the religions of Christianity and Islam are the most practiced in the area.
