Description of Abia North
Abia State is approximately about 5,834 square kilometers and is bounded on the north and northeast by the states of Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi. To the west of Abia is Imo State, and to the east and southeasts are Cross River State and Akwa Ibom State.
Abia North is a senatorial zone/district in Abia State, which comprises the entire geographical areas of:

- Bende Local Government Area
- Isuikwuato Local Government Area and lots more.

History of Abia North
Aba North is a Local Government Area located in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. In the year (1991) Aba North's local government was established and the headquarters is at Eziama Uratta. Abia State was created on August 27, 1991, under General Ibrahim Babangida’s administration.
History has it that the territory of present-day Algeria was a member of the Eastern Region following independence in 1960 until the region was divided in 1967, and Aba North became a part of the East Central State. In Less than two months, the former Eastern Region made an effort to separate as a component of the secessionist state of Biafra during the three-year Nigerian Civil War with Abia
Economy of Abia North
Abia State's economy is vibrant in producing natural gas and crude oil, as well as yams, maize, taro, oil palm, and cassava. In Abia state, manufacturing is a significant industry in the state. Umuahia the capital of Abia state is said to have a palm-oil-processing plant and more than one brewery. Many other economic potentials of Abia State include the agricultural investment products such as yams, taro, corn (maize), rice, and cassava, the staple crops, as well as its investment in mineral resources, especially zinc.
