History

Darazo local government area is situated in Bauchi state, the Northeast of Nigeria and has its headquarters sited in the town of Darazo. The local government comprises some towns and villages which include Wahu, Jimbim, Gabarin, Gabchiyari, Lago, Yautare, Tauya, and Sade. The population of Darazo local government is calculated to have more inhabitants than some other area with the majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Hausa ethnic group. The languages that are commonly spoken in Darazo local government include the Zumbum and Hausa languages while Christianity and Islam are the widely practiced religions in the LGA.
