History of Ezza North

Ezza North Local Government Area is a local government in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. It was created on August 27, 1991, when Ebonyi State was carved out of the old Enugu State.

Before the creation of Ebonyi State, Ezza North Local Government Area was part of the old Abakaliki Local Government Area. The area was later split into Ezza North and Ezza South Local Government Areas.

The headquarters of Ezza North Local Government Area is located in the town of Ogboji. The local government area covers an area of about 289 square kilometers and has a population of over 150,000 people.

Geography of Ezza North

Ezza North Local Government Area is located in the southeastern part of Nigeria, specifically in the southern part of Ebonyi State. It lies within the tropical rainforest belt of Nigeria, with a tropical climate characterized by high rainfall and temperatures that rarely drop below 20°C.
