Geography

Ogoja local government has a land area of approximately 1,800 square kilometers and shares boundaries with other local government areas (LGAs) in Cross River State. To the north, Ogoja is bounded by Bekwarra and Obudu LGAs, while to the south, it shares boundaries with Yala and Abi LGAs. To the east, Ogoja is bordered by the Obanliku LGA, while to the west, it shares boundaries with Benue State. The strategic location of Ogoja at the crossroads of several LGAs and states makes it an important hub for trade and commerce in the region.
