Ganye Local Government Area is situated in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Two LGA were carved out from Ganya, they are Jada and Toungo Local Governments. Ganye local government area is enclosed by Jada Local Government Area to the North and East, also Toungo local government to the South than the Taraba State to the West. Ganya local government is the headquarters of the Sama (Chamba) people worldwide. In Ganye local government, the major and ruling tribe of the Ganye people is the Sama (Chamba) Language with other tribes such as Fulani and the Mummuye and others.
